Anita Pohndorff Yates collection of Saratogiana, 1787-1996 (1830-1970 bulk).

The collection consists of a variety of Saratoga Springs-related materials collected by Anita Pohndorff Yates (914-1991). Mrs. Yates developed the collection from papers and memorabilia that she inherited from her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Frederico G. Pohndorff. Many of the items originally came from the Robert Milligan family, who were friends and neighbors of the Pohndorffs. After the deaths of Mr. and Mrs. Milligan, their daughters gave Mrs. Pohndorff many of their parents' papers. Skidmore College acquired the collection through a series of donations by Mr. and Mrs. Yates between 1974 and 1982. The collection is divided into series according to format, and includes business and personal papers, newspaper clippings, photographs, memorabilia, ceramics and glassware, and over 150 prints.
